The Lord’s Hand Was Upon Him

It was also upon us.

Make no mistake, it’s not Trump the Deep State hates him (well, they do hate him in ways that defy explanation), it’s also us they hate.

Who is “us”?  The normal people that voted for Trump, 63 million in 2016 and 74 million that voted him him in 2020.  And no, I don’t believe 81 million actual people voted for Sleepy Joe, but that’s a story for another day.

The Deep State, the Oligarchy hate us.  Why?  Because we had the temerity to vote for him and actually make him President once.  Now, when it looks like we’re going to make him President again, they’re doubling down on their hatred.  The fact that he’s well on his way to reelection is a bridge too far for these people.  And yes, that includes Republicans who are part of the Uniparty.

Ever since he and Melania glided down the escalator at Trump Tower in 2015, the Uniparty has thrown everything but the kitchen sink against him.   Nothing has worked:  Russia collusion hoax, two scoops of ice cream, two impeachments, lawfare, a mug shot, 94 indictments, the “convicted felon” meme, and now this:  assassination.

And it hasn’t worked.  Why?

Because the Lord’s hand was upon him.

Make no mistake, had Trump not looked to the right, the bullet which only grazed his ear would have taken out the back half of his skull.

I’m going to write more as events warrant.  Was this an inside job?  Why didn’t the Secret Service sniper take down the shooter when he had him in his sights?  How for that matter did the shooter get so close (148 yards) to Trump?  Not only did he have a rifle, he had a ladder.  This was either an act of gross negligence on behalf of the Secret Service or it was an inside job.

Mind you, we can’t overlook diversity hires but that’s a story for another day as well.  The head of the Secret Service should be fired forthwith.  Period.

In any event, in churches all over America, services of thanksgiving to the Almighty worth offered for sparing Trump’s life.  And for America:  do you have any idea where we would be right now had the shooter not missed?

Think about that.

In any event, Archbishop Elpidophoros was celebrating the Divine Liturgy in Salt Lake City the very next day.  In Utah.  One of the reddest states in the nation.  Did he offer a molieben of thanksgiving  for Trump’s life or for our nation?  Or for that poor fellow who died, while protecting his daughters from the barrage of bullets that went astray?  No, he didn’t.

That too is a story for another day.

America is not over.  Not yet.  The Lord’s hand was indeed upon him.

Glory be to God for all things!

I am very grateful Donald Trump was not killed the other day. I’m grateful to God that Mr. Trump’s family is not living through a horrible tragedy. My prayers go out to Corey Comperatore’s family. I know that they are grieving now. Oh Most Holy Theotokos please comfort them. Corey Comperatore gave his life to save others, the Lord is merciful!
However I turn my heart to another tragedy and that is of the young man who was driven by the demons to perform such a horrific act. He lost his life and his soul and that is also a tragedy. I talk to many young people who are of the same age as Mr. Crooks. The most striking thing that they all have in common is that they have no hope! Most of the young people I talk to do not believe they will reach 60 years of age! A person with no hope does not have Christ in them. This opens a soul up to a demonic attack. I tell young people all the time that they have their hope in the wrong things and they should instead put their hope in Christ! Hope in Christ will get us through the darkness because He is the Eternal Light! The enemy is not each other regardless of our political leanings but Satan who is our true enemy. Our young people need us for they are without hope and are ripe pickings for the Evil One to sow in them the seeds of despair. We must (me included) do better. Our young people and our future is at stake.

George and Gail, I have missed your blog and am very glad that your back.
